Logistics and field preparation
Logistics and field preparation is an ideal opportunity for those who want to experience the event from the backstage. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the run-up to the race, our logistics team prepares the field - delivering and collecting equipment, water and food at the Vodno and Matka checkpoints. This is a physically active role that allows you to explore the settlements, breathe fresh air, and be part of the team that makes the event possible.
Start-Finish Setup
Start-Finish Setup is a fast-paced but energetic volunteer opportunity on Saturday, where volunteers are physically engaged in setting up the infrastructure for the start and finish lines. If you want to help but can't commit a lot of time, this is the perfect option - a few hours of teamwork and watching the event take shape before your eyes.
Start-Finish Volunteers
START-FINISH general work requires dedication on Sunday, where 6 volunteers work statically at the liveliest location - start-finish in the Makedonsko Selo complex. Here you will be part of managing participants, distributing starting packages, coordinating activities, announcing winners, handing out medals and creating that unforgettable ambiance that welcomes and sends off all runners.
Race marshals
Race marshals are a dynamic position that requires 15 volunteers throughout the race. You will be stationed at key intersections and sections of the course where runners need to be pointed in the right direction. This is a great opportunity to encourage participants, be directly involved in their experience, and enjoy nature at the same time.
Aid Stations
Refreshment stations are perhaps the most important volunteer role - 20 dedicated volunteers on Sundays who work statically at checkpoints throughout the course. Here you welcome runners, provide them with water, food, moral support. This role requires energy, positivity and a love of people - you are the angel who can make or break a runner's day.
Marking and demarking
Trail marking is a specialized team that works on Saturday and Sunday on race day - 10 volunteers on Saturday for marking (4-6 hours). These teams set up the correct route marking with tape, signs and markers, and then remove them throughout the mountain after the race. If you want to know the terrain in detail and be responsible for the safety of the participants, this is the role for you.

The demarking is done by 8 volunteers divided into teams on Sunday, right behind the last participant, the so-called brooms of the race. They collect the markings and any accidentally fallen litter, and as the last ones on the field, they make sure that none of the participants are left behind and help anyone in trouble.
After race equipment collection
The equipment collection after race finishes on Sunday at 7pm is the last volunteer activity that requires 4 volunteers for physical work after the event ends. Together with the team, you collect all the infrastructure, empty the locations and make sure that the terrain remains clean and intact. This is a short but important role that rounds off the event.
