LIABILITY AND PHYSICAL FITNESS STATEMENT VODNO-MATKA TRAILS 2027

By voluntarily registering, the participant confirms that the rules, regulations, procedures, and obligations are binding during the competition. These regulations serve to make the competition equal for all participants and cannot be disputed in court. Their acceptance and application is mandatory to participate in the event. Each participant is responsible for the technical serviceability of his/her equipment and must ensure that it meets the framework of the rules. The organizer assumes no responsibility in case of accident – incident, personal injury or material damage, theft, or other types of damages!

PARTICIPANT'S STATEMENT - CONSENT

1. I have read, understood, and fully accept the Rules and Regulations that apply to the sports event in which I will participate (Vodno-Matka Trails 2027), which will be held on April 11, 2027. The Rules and Regulations are published on the official website of the event (www.vodnomatka.mk).
2. I am confident that I am appropriately prepared (physically and mentally) to participate in the race. I respect the appropriate medical protocols and controls that guarantee I have good health, that I do not suffer from any disease, allergy, physical deficiency, injury, or cardio-respiratory disorder that would advise against my participation in the event.
3. I am fully aware of the difficulties and effort of the event, of the route, elevation profile, and distance; which I previously consulted on the event's website (www.vodnomatka.mk).
4. I am fully aware that this type of event contains additional risks for participants. Accordingly, I declare that I participate in the event of my own free will and on my own initiative, and that I fully assume the risks and consequences arising from my participation.
5. I possess sufficient knowledge and technical skills that guarantee my personal safety in the environment and conditions of autonomy in which the event takes place. Also, that on the day of the event I have the sports and safety equipment that is mandatorily required by the Organizer; and I guarantee that it is in excellent condition, that I know how to use it correctly, and that I will personally use/carry it with me during the entire event.
6. I commit to respect the rules and safety protocols imposed by the Organizer for the race in which I participate; and that I will behave responsibly, avoiding situations that increase risks to my physical and mental integrity. That I will follow the instructions and respect the decisions made by the responsible persons from the Organization (judges, doctors, and organizers) in terms of all safety aspects.
7. I authorize the Medical personnel at the event, at any moment during the event, to perform on me any medical procedure or diagnostic test that they consider appropriate, regardless of whether I request it from them or not. In case they request, I agree to abandon my participation in the event and/or allow my hospitalization, if they decide it is necessary for my health.
8. I authorize the Event Organizer to have exclusive rights over photographs and videos in which I am personally shown and which are created during the event, and to use them exclusively for the purposes of promoting the event, and for which I will not receive financial compensation in return.
9. Before or during the event, I will not consume any prohibited substance considered as doping by international athletic and mountaineering federations. I am aware that the Organizer has the right to subject the first three placed in all categories for each race to anti-doping control.
10. I am aware that my race number is personal and cannot be transferred to another person, therefore I will not be able to assign or sell it to any other person in any case, even if I am prevented from participating in the event.
11. I participate in the event of my own free will and at my own responsibility. Consequently, I release the Organizer, its associates, sponsors, and other entities from all liability for any physical or material injury/disability/death that may happen to me, and therefore, I waive my right to file a report or claim for damages against the mentioned entities.
12. I commit to follow and apply the general rules of respect for nature and other people.
    The general rules are described below:

• To be extremely careful and follow the applicable traffic rules when moving on paths and roads that are open to traffic.
• Not to cause deterioration of biotic, geological, and cultural-historical resources or generally of nature and landscape.
• To perform my physiological needs in appropriate places, in any case, away from water sources and watercourses and away from paths and gathering places.
• Not to throw garbage or leave objects or solid or liquid waste outside places that are specifically marked for that purpose.
• Not to leave the marked path.
